HBA Cares Partners with Family Promise to Renovate Mobile Homes for Local Families
HBA Cares recently partnered with Family Promise to renovate several mobile homes in the central Colorado Springs area. Family Promise is helping to place families that are transitioning out of homelessness in each of the units, one of which has become a new home for a single mother.
The renovations have been comprehensive both inside and out. On the exterior, the siding and roof were replaced, new windows and frames were installed, and the insulation underneath has been replaced, among various other updates. On the interior, the entire unit received new cabinets, countertops, and other improvements. On November 3, more than a dozen volunteers came together to help with landscaping around the units.
HBA Cares would like to thank everyone who donated time, talent or treasure to this effort (see below). The end product is a truly a thing of beauty - not just because of how wonderful the units now look, but because of what they mean to the members of our community who will be able to call them home.
