Volunteers from the HBA and HBA Cares are teaming up once again to clean up a designated portion of Fountain Creek Watershed. A collaborative effort between eight local communities, Creek Week is a yearly litter and debris collection event that helps raise awareness about the watershed, our water supply, the district and the littering issue to make our communities cleaner, safer and more beautiful.

Be part of the largest watershed-wide cleanup in Colorado! Last year, 2,400 volunteers made a difference in our community by removing 13.5 tons of litter from our local waterways. Not just unsightly, litter also contributes to clogging and polluting our waterways, reducing property values, stressing wildlife habitat and water quality, and affecting recreation areas.
This year’s event will take place on Friday, October 5 from 3-5 PM. We have been assigned the Sinton Trail section located between Holland Park Blvd and N. Chestnut Street (see map below). Please park at Springs Journey Church at 1250 Vondelpark Dr. near the basketball court.
It ls recommended that Creek Crew members wear sturdy footwear, long pants, and a hat or visor. Work gloves will be provided if you do not have your own. Please review all of the safety guidelines ahead of time. We will go over them the day of the event as well.
